_What is Misanthropology?

If you haven’t yet noticed, Miss Anthropology is a play on the word misanthrope.

  mis·an·thrope

    Pronunciation: \ˈmi-sən-ˌthrōp\

    Function: noun

    Etymology: Greek misanthrōpos

: a person who hates or distrusts

    humankind

By adding the English suffix -logy or -ology, minanthrope becomes misanthropology.  Accordingly, the definition changes to the study of hating or distrusting humankind.

Everyday Misanthropology is a collection of musings on the cultures and subcultures that exist right here in everyday life.  The examined populations are categorized by their natural environments.  However, individuals of a population have been known to cross over into less hospitable environments, usually with unsuccessful results.  I must note that these observations and opinions are my own and don’t necessarily represent everyone associated with the cultures and subcultures portrayed here.  While I must admit that I not a complete misanthrope, I do have little to no tolerance for certain types of people.  That being said, I present to you the most vile and inept of our species.
